Our mission and goal is to provide the highest quality cutting edge emergency medical response and transportation services at the lowest possible cost to our employers. This is accomplished, in part, by the provision of non-emergency transport services to facilities throughout the service area in order to mitigate infrastructure and maintenance costs across the board. We at Metro-Health EMS believe that quality patient care begins with professionalism, constant training, continuing education, and performance based incentives to insure and foster a climate of dedication and commitment to excellent customer services.

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
Metro-Health EMS is a division of Western-Star Hospital Authority based in Atlanta, Georgia operating in eight other states.
From 1991, the creation of our company, we have been known for providing a high quality, cost effective service to the communities we serve. With a special care for low-income disadvantage families and small children's ambulance care. In 1996, our original company was sold to Medtrans Corporation now known as AMR. In 1999 Western-Star Hospital Authority was created to serve the public once again and to provide E-911 services to three different small disadvantaged and troubled counties in rural Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.

911 EMERGENCY SERVICES
Western-Star and its subsidiaries provide 911 emergency for several local communities including, hospitals, nursing homes and private facilities. We have Advance Life support ambulances. Our company serves an important link in the emergency response system developed by local fire departments and law enforcement.
In the spirit of a true public/private partnership between Western-Star, county, city police and fire departments, we take appropriate measures to ensure the appropriate level of emergency services are on scene of a medical emergency within ten minutes of notification.

ALS/BLS NON-EMERGENCY SERVICES
Our EMS provides both Basic life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) services.
We pride ourselves on providing on time, high quality care for each and every patient we transport at an affordable price.
It's our mission to treat each patient and their families, as if they were a part of our own family.

ESU (EMERGENCY SERVICES UNIT)
- TACTICAL MEDICS
Tactical Law enforcement unit protocols have been developed to provide the dispatching of highly trained officers who are capable of assuming dangerous, tactical assignments with a high degree of proficiency and expertise. These units are organized for crisis intervention and rescue with negotiation and assault capabilities. Their goal is to accomplish assignments without injury or loss of life.

FIRE PROTECTION &
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Metro Provides full-time fire suppression and rescue services. Pre-incident planning, assigned fire prevention activities emergency medical services, hazardous materials emergency response and personnel training.
Metro is helping local, state and federal agency reduce cost in the fire protection services area. Metro also provide services to local and international airports and federal government facilities.

CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT SERVICES
Our Critical Care Transport (CCT) program protocols have been developed to address a growing need among metro area facilities for Critical Care Nurse and Paramedics to attend transport of patients requiring continuous advanced monitoring and treatment.
Our CCT affiliate program is Atlanta's finest ground base CCT with its own vehicles, equipment and full-time dedicated clinical staff. With 24-hour a day 7 days per week coverage to meet CCT demands the service enable facilities to confidently transport critically ill patients without depleting their own clinical resources.

OUR GOALS & SUPPORT
In support of these operations, tactical emergency medical services personnel take over the responsibilities of rendering emergency medical care under fire.
The tactical operational medical support course is a 76- hour nationally accredited, field intense training program. This training program is offered twice each year, with an advanced course offered once each year for graduates of the basic course.
